We humans spend 90% of our time in enclosed spaces. This makes it all the more important that the indoor climate is right. It is becoming increasingly common for mould to develop in rooms due to excessive humidity. The main reasons for this are improved insulation and windows with better seals – but also incorrect ventilation. The Gira Hygrostat measures the humidity, controls the ventilation and ensures a pleasant and healthy climate. In this way, it also contributes to maintaining the value of the property.

The Gira Hygrostat records both the humidity and the temperature of the room using internal sensors. If a defined setpoint is exceeded, it automatically switches on a connected device to dehumidify the room until the selected value is reached again. This is usually a fan or ventilator, but can also be a radiant heater or a drive for automatically opening the windows. The desired setpoint can be easily set by means of a rotary knob on the front of the device. The Hygrostat control handles the setpoint dynamically: If, for example, it measures a higher room temperature than the selected temperature of 21°C, it allows more air humidity, as warmer air can absorb more moisture than colder air. This avoids unnecessary ventilation and saves energy. The Gira Hygrostat is available in various designs to match the room ambience.
